Measurement Guide

Here is a basic guide to taking your own measurements using the most commonly used tools and products in order to do so. Taking precise measurements will help you determine the best size. It may be advisable to ask someone else to help you take your measurements.

BUST: Stand with your arms at your sides. Run the measuring tape under both arms, around the back, and across the fullest part of the bustline.
NATURAL WAIST: To find your natural waist, bend to one side. The crease formed is your natural waistline. Place the measuring tape at this crease, straighten your torso and measure around your body, holding the tape measure in as straight a line as possible.
LOW WAIST: Measure 2-3 inches from where you determined your natural waistline to be. Mark this spot with your finger and then run the tape measure around the lower waistline even with your finger.
HIPS: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and measure around the fullest part of your hips. This is normally 7 to 8 inches below the waistline.
INSEAM: For a full length pant leg, measure from 1 inch below the crotch, along the inside of the leg 1 inch below the ankle.
HEAD: Measure around the circumference of your head at brow level.
HANDS: Measure around the knuckles and upper side of the palm, do not include the thumb.
